About Me

Dallas TX – 2019

Hi, I’m Joseph — writer, storyteller, and professional overthinker (but in a charming way, I promise).

I spend most of my time putting words together about the messy, hopeful, and often hilarious parts of life. My writing lives at the intersection of coming-of-age and LGBTQ stories, with a dash of self-discovery, awkward moments, and the occasional perfectly timed punch line. I love exploring what happens when we drop the script and let people be gloriously, unapologetically themselves.

I grew up — and still live — in Jacksonville, Florida. I’m gay, diabetic, and perpetually working on becoming a better version of myself (some days more successfully than others). Those pieces of me tend to sneak into my work, not because I plan it that way, but because writing is how I make sense of the world: by turning my own missteps, questions, and small victories into stories worth sharing.

Over the years, I’ve filled journals with memories, dreams, and stories that celebrate resilience, identity, and the beauty of not having it all figured out. And now, I’ve made those journals into something more. Whether I’m chronicling the chaos of young adulthood or the quieter triumphs of personal growth, my goal is always the same: to leave readers feeling a little more seen, a little less alone, and maybe even laughing out loud.

When I’m not lost in a draft, you’ll probably find me hunting down great clothes or vinyl records, people-watching in a corner café, or dreaming up my next adventure. I believe stories connect us — and that there’s always room for humor, even in our hardest chapters.
